Debate

Hey, can someone help me settle a debate about waterfowl? Here’s what’s going on. Two people, both friends of mine, are saying that duck and goose have little to no fat on them, and they have never taken a goose with fat.

my side of the debate is that every time I take a goose, I get loads of fat. The goose is loaded with fat. It comes out during cooking.

Here’s the question that will settle the debate. Do geese always have a lot of fat on them? Does it depend on their location and what they’ve been feeding on for fat content?

I have killed late season Black ducks and Mallards that had a lot of fat under the skin. So much so their skin was yellow.

Wow I don't know about your friends but all animals have fat on them to some extent. Some of course more than others. I guess it depends on how much food they have available.
