Question One Man Boat Recommendations?

What duck hunting outboard-motor boats do you recommend for hunting in tidal wetlands? Sized to fit one(...two at the most) man plus gear. Thanks.

I'd need something that can handle a bigger engine than a trolling motor, or I'd probably get swept out to sea...

9.9 or something similar would work great for you. My grandfather use to use a 9.9 saltwater fishing up here quite a bit and we have some big tides up this way. Do not forget to flush it out often when not using. Saltwater can be hard on outboards.

I hunt tidal areas in CT, I started out with a 17' jonboat with 40hp. Hunted 2 guys and had plenty of room for all the gear, deeks and other stuff.
After a couple windy days with big waves I upgraded to a 20' jon w/90hp motor to lessen the pucker factor LOL.

I would say look for a used skiff, the older Carolina skiffs are pretty cheap in price and can hold a lot.
