wild rice
 

Hi All, got a question for you.
The marsh I hunt is shallow, we can pole a boat across it, its in Eastern Ontario. I've always wanted to plant wild rice (should have done it 20 yrs ago).
Can I just buy a bag of wild rice and broadcast it around? Or is there a seed (I figure the rice itself is seed)?
Would it just float away because we could blow a beaver dam, spread seed then let the beaver rebuild.
