What to look for

What is the best to look for around ponds to know if ducks are attracted.

I'm new to duck hunting. I live in Arkansas. We have alot of wetlands. Cypress tree Marshes. So what around a pond attracts duck. What type of food source is around. Etc.

How do I know they have a good food source around.

Try to watch for'em flying in late afternoons / evenings.

Also, feathers on the water and along the water's edge. If a pond has been holding ducks for a while, there'll be a few feathers around.

If its a good muddy pond than chances are theres ducks around feeding on it. look for cat-tails. They like to be surrounded by cat-tails and reeds when they sleep on water. Pete bogs are usually pretty good
