Beretta Xtrema
 

i am getting ready to purchase a beretta xtrema and was wondering if anyone shot them. i have read and heard nothing bad about them. i wanted to hear any opinions if anyone shoots this. thanks....

I haven’t tried the Beretta Xtrema but it’s my next shotgun... I have the Beretta model 301 semi-auto and have never had any problems with it... I’ve hunted all types of birds from big Canadas to Sharp-Tailed Grouse and the gun has never failed me... The gun handles well under all weather conditions and it can get pretty cold and ugly up here... I have to admit I should keep it cleaner then I do but it has never been a problem... My brother has a newer Beretta Semi-auto (not the extrema) and also has had no problems with it either...I’ve hunted years with my Beretta and would highly recommend it... Good luck in your purchase and I don’t think you’ll regret it.;)

So Alex tell what finish you’re looking for ? The wetland camo or the black and if you’re going with the black will it be the 28” or the 30” barrel? I personally like the wetland camo but I would inquire if the 30” barrel is more beneficial .

One thing you may conceder if shooting steel shot is to get the forcing cone lengthen. I was told by a gun smith that this would help in recoil and would pattern better... I was also told that my stock would eventually crack under heavy recoil conditions...The steel doesn’t give like lead when forced from the chamber to the barrel...Sounded good at the time so I had both, forcing cone lengthen and the full choke reworked to modified at the same time...This all happened because we have to shoot steel here...I haven’t noticed much of a difference but any little bit will help.
