Moss 835 choke?

Looking to get a full choke for a mossberg 835. It currently has a modified choke in it but it is not meeting my needs on the long shots. I used to just shoot at the closest ducks to me but now that I am really getting specific about what ducks I am after aka mallards. I am being presented more long range shots and the modified is not cutting it. So any suggestions on what choke to get will be greatly appreciated. And for the record the modified works well up close but after shooting my buddies full choked shotgun at a pretty good distance I am now going to get a full choke.

Carlson's choke tubes.

Several problems noted here.
1. You did not say what type and size of shot you are shooting?
2. You did not say at what distances you area speaking of?
3. Steel shot performs better to a bit more open shokes than does
lead. Too much choke and you go backwards in performance.
I shoot Briley extended, ported, Improved Modified later in season with it performs much as a X-Full does with lead. I mainly shoot the same style choke in Modified earlier in season and go to the IM later for the longer shots, over 40yds and bigger ducks, and larger shot, 2's and BB's mainly as opposed to 3's and 2's earlier. I also shoot Hevi-Metal as my mainstay shells. I shoot steel as my first shot and then back it up with Hevi-Metal.

I will add, with my 835 I use the modified choke tube, nothing fancy, but it is a Carlson choke tube and my patterns with BB and #2 steel are tight at 35 yards. There is the possibility that if you use a full choke and large shot the constriction could cause barrel blow up or deformation, that is the reason for that warning. I have never seen it or heard of it and I don't experiment to try and find out either.

Look at the HeviShot waterfowl combo pack. You will get
both a mid and extended range tube in that pack. It is a super
value for the money and you can get super distance from
the extended tube.
