Tried Rem hypersonic shells?

Have any of you shot the Remington Hypersonic steel?

From my experience they are overpriced loud as **** and pattern very inconsistently. They also burn very dirty so expect to clean your gun alot of it's an auto. Don't shoot them over your buddy's head either. they'll be deaf the rest of the weekend.

You can buy blackcloud or hevi shot for a tad bit more than hypersonic with better results.

I think they're great, however they do kick worse than any other waterfowl load I have ever shot.

I bought a box last year and started hearing about overpressure concerns on other discussion forums, so I called Remington. The guy I talked to asked what kind of gun I was shooting so I told him a Rem 870, a fib because I shoot an Extrema 2. He said there was nothing to worry about because if something happens to my "870", Remington would repair it. That told me that there may be some issues, or that they weren't real sure, or something else was going on so instead of taking a chance I gave the shells to a buddy of mine that shoots a Rem 11-87.

Thanks guys! I think I'll stick with Win & Fed steel, and a box or two of the hevi-stuff.

Try the HeviShot/Duck or Goose or the HeviMetal. We have
found these to be excellent shells and our results wieth them
have spoken for themselves. The simply give much cleaner
kills and give us extended ranges on our shots.

I used to really like Remington Nitro Steel Mags. I've found that pretty much all the Remington I've shot in the last few years burn very poorly. Tons of power residue... They have not seemed to hit as hard as Winchester or Federal either... I really like both Hevi-Metal and Winchester Supremes for all around waterfowling loads.

I've also read online, not experienced first hand the above mentioned situations with Hypersonic...

Just another in a LONG line of reasons that I will ONLY shoot HeviShot
brand ammo. You simply cannot beat their quality and performance.
They have a price point shell for most waterfowl hunters and all of them
perform well.
