No Gun Wars! Shopping for a new Waterfowl Population Control Device
So, without starting a war, and reading all I can find and handling everything I can that is on the market, it's down to a few options.
1. Browning Maxus 26" 3.5" Mossy Oak DB 2. Winchester SX3 26" 3.5" Mossy Oak DB - I realize these are nearly identical 3. Remington Versa Max - I know they had trouble during the kick off last year 4. Beretta Extrema 2 Eliminated from Consideration: Anything from Benelli Mossberg 935 (Even though I like Mossberg) Beretta 3901 (Nice but no 3.5" option) The above listed shotguns are in no particular order. Just seeking comments, experiences... |
get a benelli... haha but out of what you said i would go with the extrema 2, then the SX3

the maxus from what i've heard is an amazing gun.

"Eliminated from Consideration:
Anything from Benell" That leaves out the Beretta. I shoot a Browning Silver and love it. |

I would not put the two in the same category other than parent company an US Importer. Totally different design and function between the two... I've heard the Browning Silver is almost identical in every way to the SX3 and the Maxus has a few extra bells and whistles. I looked at a silver a couple weeks ago, only real difference I noticed between it and the SX3 was it didn't have the dura-touch finish on it and the stock had a bit different shape to it... |
personally I hunt with a Browning but after looking at the new Beretta A400 extreme it will be my next shotgun
|
Just got a VersaMax, it's AWESOME! I also have a SX3 and Extrema2, and those are great as well. I'd go in that order.
