The band Gods answer prayers!
 

Yesterday, Josh, Wes, Clint T. and I decided to give Utah another shot at some honkers. The day before we found a roost holding roughly 3 to 400 birds. We watched them and as they got up we followed em. With our luck, they landed on public land! Made a game plan and got stuff ready. The hunt was on. Wednesday could not come fast enough. Broke a hole in the ice and set up around it. 10:00 rolled around and here they came. First flock came right in with no hesitation. "COLLAR" I yelled and Josh dumped it! We also shot a few more out of that flock. Josh got his first collar and exchanged high fives. The next flock came right in again and we cleaned up the rest of a 4 man limit. It was one of the fastest hunts I've been on. Wes on the other hand was late for work so we had to take a picture when he got off. Ended the day with 12 geese, 4 were banded and one was collared! Way to start off the year 2011!
