Default Choke Tube

i was thinking about buying a new choke for a mossberg 500 12ga ihave. I was thinkin sumthign cheap li the HS Strut undertaker or Truglo Gobble stopper? anybody use these for ducks and geese?

No......I don't have a problem with a modified even on geese that are out there a ways. Can't see wanting an extra-full turkey choke to gun steel shot for any waterfowl.

i was just wondering, im gonna end up getting a carlsons for this gun. i hunt the walk-ins at our local lake,and theres a lot of pressure and some highshots we have to take

For 30 bucks you could look at cabela's choke tubes for hevi-shot. They have good reviews and a reasonable pricetag. I could see running a full. Just be sure to pattern your gun to see what it's doing.

i dont shoot hevi-shot, they have 1 for regular steel

I shoot a Carlsons waterfowl midrange in my Browning and have been very happy with it! Don't shoot steel through a turkey tube.

Yea the carlson choke is descent. I shoot a pattern master but its not a cheap one but in most cases you get what you pay for.

im lookin into gettina new duck gun next season, soo im not gonna spend a bunch of money on a choke for it

You really should look at the HeviShot choke tubes. These are some
of the finest choke tubes on the market today. You can get them
for waterfowl/turkey/coyote. They work great and are superior to the
standard factory tubes.
