Talking Guess what I'll be doing today....

I was going back and forth between the meat pole and my shop yesterday finishing up the last of the deer processing, and beginning about 8:00am they started coming. By noon there were well over 3000 of them between my alfalfa field and the hay barley field. Guess I better get the dekes out......

Gotta love hem in the backyard like that!!!! Had it happen 4 years ago and the boy and his buddy hauled all 23dz of my dekes out and we pounded geese for all most a week before it was over. Had a really hard freeze and snow up north and the geese were here in droves. Best goose hunting in decades!!!!!!!

well, couldn't find my decoys...have no idea where I put them. I went out this morning, loaded up three shells, fired three times, and bagged two big honkers. All this huntin stuff is wearing me out....;-)

Another great thing about your photos are that they show how the "C" pattern or "J" pattern work for deke spreads. Look how the geese are landing and sitting. I really prefer to us an "X" pattern if the winds are kinda iffy for the day. That way all we have to do is to swing the blinds around and we are still in business no matter what in a few minutes.
