best waterfowl 12 gauge for the price?

The best one is the one that both fits you and you can afford without taking out a second mortage on. They all work, just to varying degrees of dependability. How much are you going to be useing it? Looking to shoot 3-1/2" shells for geese or turkeys? Looking for cheap and not get kicked into semi-consciousness? Walk-in hunting or from a boat/blind? Myself, I shoot Winchester SX2's and Browning Gold.

My name is riley, i have been shooting an old winchester 2 3/4 inch chamber gun for a long time, but it finally broke on me, and am looking for a new gun, was wondering what people suggested was a good gun for waterfowl, i would like to have at least a 3 inch chamber, but a 3.5 would nice for goose hunting.
I LOVE mine. I've put 3000+ rounds through it with no problems. It chambers 2 3/4 and 3" shells and it's accurate. It also comes with 3 chokes. The only downside is it's tedious to clean. I got mine for $485, but the MSRP is $584. Great gun!

M2000 is good but for the price MOSSBERG 835 pump. . . Its has a ten gauge barrel bored for 12ga. can be found for around 185. . . but save your cash for the SBE when the time comes. . . I have both use the pump in the extreme cold, but have dropped my sbe into 3 feet of swamp mud/silt and it still fired all day long

I shoot benelli and wont go back. Any one of their guns are great. What you really should do when you are looking for a new gun is go into a store and handle and shoulder the guns see which gun feels best in your hands. Then as long as its a good well knows brand you should be good to go.

I've had pumps and semi-autos. Personally, I shoot better with the pump because I take a little more time to get on birds between shots. It seems like when I'm pointing a semi I just keep pulling the trigger lol. I know I spend a lot less money on shells when I'm hunting with the pumps!
I had a Winchester SuperX2 that I will always regret having to part with. It was an awesome gun for ducks, geese, deer, turkeys, etc. I've always had Mossberg pumps around though too. I have a 535 now, which is just a 3 1/2" version of the 500. It's light and not too fancy to set on the floor of a blind.
One thing to keep in mind... I know several people with 3 1/2" guns that still just use 3". They can be quite a bit more expensive to shoot, kick tons more than the 3's, and miss just as easy!
Look around at what you can find in your price range and shoulder a few guns. I'm sure your shoulder and hands will tell you what you want easier than any of us can

I had a winchester 1300 but when it got stolen I replaced it with a Benelli Nova and it is a great shooting gun with low recoil and it's a 3 1/2 mag. I had originally planned on getting the super nova but the stock has a built on recoil reducer and the guy at the desk at Cabela's said it felt like you had a water balloon on your shoulder and that it took a little longer to get back on birds.
