Soggy boxes after each hunt!
So after each hunt the shotgun shell boxes are always soggy, which leads to rusted shells. What do you all do to keep this from happening?

dont keep your shells in a wet box
or dont get the box wet or get a dry box or take the shells out of the box and dry them and the box common sense really |
What Blake saying is: buy a plastic shell box carrier with hinged waterproof lid and leave the shell boxes in there. They are also very handy in keeping your calls, gloves etc in one place to always have then with you. If boat, leave it in the boat, or what ever conveyance you use. That way, you'll always have them. No more than 4 box capacity. Keeps weight down, so you can easily carry to blind etc..

I use a plastic shell box and I put a piece of VCI paper on top of the brass. This is a necessity since I hunt the salt most of the time.

I keep mine in a ziplock freezer bag. Not a sandwich or storage bag, but a freezer bag.

MTM flip top boxs
I have not taken a paper box into the marsh in at least 5 years John |
Flip lid shell box with 2 trays. Take trays out and have room for 4 boxes and other needed goodies. Place in live well in boat and never have problems.
