RE: Duck blinds?

We use winter snow fence (Black in coluor, not orange like construction uses), then tie rap slates every 2-3 feet and weave in appropriate materials.(ie cattails, reeds, grass, straw or willows) We also attach a the camo berlap on the rear portion to help conceal and especially nice when you lose some of the wooven materials. We use this on land and have in a duck boat as well (although it required some extra support on the top, just a 1X2 was good enough for our needs). Nice thing is you just roll it up and tie it with some rope for transporting. If you can' t find snow fence, than chicken wire or similar will work as well. I would spray the chicken wire with a flat black alum. paint prior to weaving the materials on. Glare has killed many a good setup, why chance it!!!

Pretty simple, cheap and IME quite effective.

RE: Duck blinds?

I have made 3 different blinds for my 14 foot jon boat. I have steadily tried to improve the blinds as well as the efficiency of them. I have used everything from half inch pipe with a fast grass set-up to plastic tubing. If you' re interested drop me an e-mail and I' ll get more specific.
