I bought two boxes awhile back. I'll stick with the blackclouds.

As far as black cloud goes I believe those that think it's great happen to have success with it. Personally, I used to shoot Kent faststeel but couldn't get it to pattern out of my new sx3. I switched to black cloud and had great results. So to me, it drops birds when others didn't...simple as that.

Yes, it is just a standard steel shot but has a flight control wad. I shot my sx3 in both a full and modified choke with Kent and had blown and off center patterns. I switched to black cloud with my modified choke and have great patterns with it out to 50 - 60 yards. A lot of people make the mistake of using full chokes or wad stripping chokes with BC and this is a huge mistake. The restriction pulls the wad away immediately upon leaving the barrell and defeats it's intended purpose. The FS steel shot in the black clouds also penetrates deeper due to it's cutting edge. I read some pretty interesting independent tests on it and they really seem to penetrate better than standard steel.

i hear the low brass in the bc make them difficult to eject. and the hot burning powder gums up the barrel and action pretty bad. has anybody experienced these problems with blackcloud?

I've never had or heard of that happening to anyone. However, on two different occasions with two different people, the bc shell wouldn't eject out of a pump and it would get stuck in the barrel.
