what short reed honker call for a beginner?

i currently have the primos canada goose flute that i got from walmart for $15 last year. i think i would like to try a short reed call but i dont know what would be a good one to get. im looking for something under $35. i was thinking maybe the buck gardner canada hammer 2. any input or other suggestion is appreciated. thanks.

i have the canada hammer 2 and as of practicing inside it sounds good of course practice to get used to the specific call is still recommended IMO

i would suggest the primos honky tonk its about $30 im a beginner too but i got lucky and was able to work off a custom call

my friend has the honkey tonk i have tried it a few times and i never really cared for it. i dont know if it was just me or what.

im looking at the canada hammer ii, zink pc-1, and maybe the foiles meat grinder.

i was reading reviews on that one and the only negative thing i have heard on it is that if you take it apart to clean it, its really hard to get it to sound right again. have you noticed that problem? im still in a tossup between that, the canada hammer 2, and the meat grinder. im leaning towards the meat grinder right now but im still not decided

i ended up ordering the canada hammer 2 combo from cabelas. it was recommended to me from a good friend of mine who is a hardcore hunter and has a lot of experience. he actually uses the acrylic version and i have heard it in person and really like it

i have the Canada Hammer and liked it. another call that is great for the beginner is the Zinks Power Clucker. the 30 dollar one. it takes LITTLE air and you can muffle it better than you can the canada hammer.

if i had to choose, it would be the Zink.
