One of those days where you kick yourself
I really need to vent and since I'd rather have a new gun than visit a shrink you guys get the burden.
I am usually the one who schedules hunts in my group of hunting buddies. I typically have the hardware that is best suited for bigger groups (e.g. better vehicle for hauling ppl, bigger Canoe and boat, more decoys, etc) so I organized a hunt for this morning because I knew we had temps dropping and heavy rain coming in.
Last minute I had a company schedule a phone interview with me for this morning and couldn't go. Everyone else still went and I let them take my gear.
My interview was at 8:30 and shooting hours started at 7:30. My buddies called at 9:30 and the group of five had limited out already (18 of which were big mallards) with a banded goose.
The kicker of the story is that the interview never happened. I checked my email and we were scheduled to have it NEXT thursday.
