Default Just ordered a new Meatstick!

Just ordered a new Stoeger M2000 for the '09 seaseon. 28" barrel and max-4 camo. I'll be getting a pattern master for it this summer since the one on my 10 gauge did such a nice job.

I know the M2000's had their problems a few years back but i have heard good things about the new ones. And you can't argue the price for an ID gun.

Anyone else pick up a new rig for next season?

I got a 28" black 2000, had it 2 years ,great gun w/ no problems. I had a 24" camo one too but the safety was rough and it jammed a couple times so I sold it.

Thanks for the info man. Wonder why you 24" model kept jamming? What are you shooting now?

To be honest I might have put about 15) 3" turkey loads through that gun, might have cycled fine w/ other loads but I bought that for turkeys only so thats all I was gonna shoot in it anyway. The safety was what really bothered me , about 20lbs of pressure to push the button in and out,[:@] I think it was just a lemon[:'(]. I havent had any problems w/ my black one though. Right now I have it stuffed w/ 4 slugs in the bedroom (just in case) but I also use it to shoot clays, small game , crows, and Im gonna use it this year for gobblers w/ just the regular FULL choke , got some pretty good patterns w/ #4s and I love how light it is. Best thing about that gun is ,it is so easy to clean! Just took me a few times to figure out how to put the forearm back on easily. I even think it looks pretty good too, and dosent scratch, or rust easily even when I beat on it. Its by far the best 400$ gun out there IMO. enjoy!

Heres a pic of my 1st hunt w/ my stoeger.

Awsome pic! Thats a great first hunt for sure! Can't wait to get home and run some rounds through mine. Just gotta get done with school and baseball first![:@]Glad to hear it is was easyto dissasemble and clean, never taken apart an ID gun before so i was a little worried. You had a problem with the forearm stock?

not really, it was my 1st semi auto. Just put the forearm and barrel together before sliding it on to the receiver and under the barrel lug, put the bent washer over the flat one (fits better I think). The gun is still really easy to disassemble and assemble.
