HuntingNet.com Forums - Saturday's Hunt!

Well I was hoping to take the rest of the season off and be able to spend some much needed time at home with my wife and family, due to my out of town work schedule right now and also needing a break to recharge from my hectic schedule of the last several years..... But.... I was starting to get worried about the lack of footage we had to date from Indiana, so I called up Kevin Smith and said that I would come out of retirement on Saturday and let's see if we couldn't put together a good hunt for Saturday to video! Well like always, Kevin came through!! I want to thank our good friend Peter for hosting us at one of his spots!! They had been scouting this field and all season it had been loaded with birds, so it was decided to put the hurt on it Saturday and video the hunt!! The ducks weren't around like they had been and we only got 1 duck (the million dollar hen!!), but the amount of geese was phenomenal and we got some AWESOME footage!!!! We had 7 shooters and me running the camera, and it didn't take too long and I was out shooting my limit as well, and Peter ran the camera for me. Thanks Pete!! We hung around after our limit of geese were shot and hoped to have some duck eventually show up, so I had alittle time to play around and take some photos of birds flying, etc., and Doug had some time to play around and learn the camera and he was able to shoot alot of footage of birds flying and landing in the decoys, and he also got the only duck shot on video, so it was fun!!! Great morning and I really enjoyed it!! Thanks again guys!! Here are some pics of the hunt...

We even had some fans watching and stop by and say "hello"!! Our friend Kyle Banks (fishfarmer) and his son Tanner. Tanner is a huge H.I.T. SQUAD fan and was excited to watch the hunt from the road and come out and say hello!

.....That may be my last hunt of the year and go back into retirement for the season, unless I have to come out again in need of footage. Thanks guys for a great hunt and fun times!!! I need to go and recharge my batteries again now and be ready to go for Spring Turkey season!!
