Gun Fell In, NEED HELP

Your gun will not rust, NO AIR, use a magnet, or trouble hooks. If you get it back, take it apart, clean, oil, and as for the stock and the rest of the wood, dry real slow, you might luck out.

water is H2O, that big O stands for Oxygen. Rust is FeO2 (I think) which is ferrous oxide, Iron + Oxygen. Gun (iron) + Oxygen (in water)= ferrous oxide (rust). Now the rate of oxidation will be slower while submerged but it will still rust.
All that chemistry made my head hurt,I needmy barley and hoppes soluton now.

For those who suggested "just go in" after that shotgun, you need your fricken heads examined. You might try a deep sea fishing rod (a short stiffboat pole) with some heavy60lb-80lbtest line. Get a couple of6 or 8 ounce sinkers to get you down there, then tie them off with a few good sized trebble hooks. Zip it down where you think your gun might be, and start dragging the area until you hook it. Then reel that bad boy up!
