I wouldnt buy a mossberg, they are so sloppy, if you get an opinoin from a gunsmith they will call them 'high priced boat oars'. cant go wrong with an 870. benelli novas are nice guns too.

If you like autos and dont mind cleaning I would say look at the Mossberg 935 if not take a look at the Benelli Nova...

870 all the way. mossbergs are fine until you go to clean it or have to field strip it and then there are way to many parts. as for stoeger my buddy has one that is a steaming pile of dookie. and the price of a nova has gone up quite a bit in the past few years not to mention the reciever is made of plastic. if you get an 870 you will have a great pump gun for the rest of your life and then be able to pass it on to your kids and their kids..............................you get the idea you just cant go wrong with an 870

870, but I'd lay off the 3 1/2 stuff. Shoot a few and you'll see why.

Another vote for the tried and true 870!!!

Plus you can use it as an oar if you want, it's a tuff gun.

haha i've had to use both my 870 and my nova as walking canes when i get my feet stuck in the mud... both work great still HAHAHA
