Great day on the water!
 

Went over to a fellow Outdoor Freaks place last night (pop60) and spent the night, in anticipation of a nice day of duck hunting...we were not disappointed! We caught the birds on a "flight day" where we consistently getting bombarded with groups of 10-30 new ducks, who had never been in the area before. The robo duck did the work and the gun barrels were hot from 6:15AM to noon.

We however were less then stellar shots this morning, which lead to some laughs and even more time spent afield, what a shame!

We ended up with 10 mallards, and 1 gadwall. All in all, a super morning spent on the mighty Mississippi!

Thanks Mr. Staley for the fine hospitality, it was something I will not soon forget!

Killian, the chocolate lab making his debut at around 4 years of age, didn't do too bad!


About mid morning we took a 10 minute break and scarfed down some delicious breakfast! Tough to beat venison sausage in the duck blind on the river!

Hey neat - if yo are seeing duck there in IL I sure hope Wisc heats up. Nothing on lake Mich and not much north of Beaver Dam.
