lol u wont believe what happened when we shot those 2 young woodies. A whole flock of 10 came in and sat right by our decoys and we jumped up and only got 2[:@]but we thought they were teal, suprisingly we did not see a single teal that morning.........we ended up shooting 2 woodies, 1 ringneck, and 6 Gadwalls

Woodies are fun to shoot... they fly very fast and direct. But, I think that my favorite ducks to shoot would have to be teal. A smaller target, and they fly erraticly giving them the illusion of great speed.
However, if I could shoot any one duck, it would have to a pintail. A pintail is number one on the list, second is a hooded merganser, third is a ringneck.

Usually we all limit out on the first wad of woodies that come in...past yearsthe limit was two woodies out a 6 duck limit. This year however they raised it to 3 woodies.
Mistaked woodies for teal? Again, crap happens. I know a fella who shot a hen woodie thinking it was a teal in the early teal season... [:-]
