Default Geese, can I shoot?

I live in Texas. I live on 3.10 acres and have a question. The past two mornings I hear geese flying by my house. They sound real close. If I have a license plus stamp, can I shoot them from my backyard? Or can I lay some decoys and shoot when they get near?

Thanks.

Check your rules and regulations. Here, you can't be closer than 300 yards to someone elses house to shoot. But, I don't see why you couldn't.

I thought that as long as you have permission to hunt closer than the safety zone requirements you are OK. If you dont have permission in Michigan you have to be outside the 450 foot safety zone. Make sure you are using steel shot...

I wouldn't even lay decoys out. I would do it the redneck way. If you hear them go get your shotgun. If they are low enough powder them from your porch or something. I've done it before
