Browning Silver Help

I bought a new Browning silver hunter lighting, and when i shoot my mod choke with federal premium BB and 2 it seems like i cant hit a barn at 40-50yds ? I'm new to duck hunting but not guns in general. Should i try a different ammo? i can shoot 22 out of 25 clays but when i puddle jump around my house i cant **** crap lol. Any insight would be great
thanks

40-50 yards is a long shot. Sure you will nock some down every now and again but with a factory mod. choke that is a far poke. If that is going to be your avg. shot i would suggest getting an after market shoke like the patternmaster. If you don't want to spend the money on a choke you should set up for closer shots.

if your shootin 40-50 yards you need to sell me your mod choke and go buy a FULL choke which is still pushing the limit at this range

At 40-50 yards steel shot has lost a lot of energy. You may be hitting birds but the pellets arent effective. Switch to a HD load if your going to continue 40-50 yard shots.

Bet you're not hitting 22 /25 clays at 50 yards. When you can, then use the Patternmaster. Untill then keep your shots under 40 yards and use your IC choke and 2's or 3's for ducks.

ggwash, you wont be dissapointed with the patternmaster. It is a great choke. Let us know how the bird killing goes with it!!
