whats the best type of brush to use on a land type duck blind?

Natural local vegetation. Cattails stand out real bad in a hardwoods swamp and trees stand out real bad in a cattail marsh... Make sure yourbrush matches whats already there.

Best possible method is to take actual vegetation and brush from where you'll be hunting. Nothing matches better than the real thing.
