Germin Shorthair Pointers?????
 
[align=left]I have a germin shorthair pointer and want to try and have him start bird hunting also. Do any of you know if a germin shorthair pointer is a good dog for bird hunting. And would i have to get him trained to bird hunt?????

they are pointers, which are used to point upland birds, but i'd guess could also flush and retreive them.

Depending on the breeder, they are an excellent dog for bird hunting. They will both find and point birds as well as retrieve game on land and in water.

In addition, they are used to track furred game and track wounded big game.
