Goose Shells

Just got a reloader and I am trying to figure out the best recipe for goose shells. I will be reloading 3 inchWinchester HV shells. What size of shot would you recommend: BBB, BB, or 1? And which recipes have you had the most success with?

I don't know if he is a member here, but see if you can PM Ned S. I know he is on shotgun world and the duck hunters refuge. He has forgotten more about reloading super performance steel loads then most ammo companies will ever know! A real wealth of knowledge and super nice guy.

you can buy Remington HD (with rebate) cheaper that you can load hevi shot. I reload 3 and 3 1/2 12ga steel. This year I just used HD. When I shoot steel at Geese I use BB or BBB 1 1/2 OZ with buffer. Reloading specialtys and BPI both have good steel reloading books.
