RE: Duck limits

In Nv. its 7 dailyand 14 inpossesion (in the freezer or inhand or combined) w/2 ea hen mallard , cavasback ,redhead & 1 pintail either sex . You may ,oddly, have 14 drake mallards . In practice if you shoot 7 in the am have them for lunch and 7 after lunch your 7 over limit . The same is true if you shoot 7 on sat and 7 sunday and have them all in camp and not sat's home in the freezer .

RE: Duck limits

Got this from the PDF on the Iowa website.... it can take a Philidelphia lawyer to decipher waterfowl regs sometimes (He isn't from Philly.... but Gordon Gecko is a lawyer if you ever need a clarification.... I'm sure he'd be happy to help you out, he's a great guy.)

ORIGINAL: From Iowa DNR RegsDucks: Daily limit is 6, including no more than 4 mallards (of
which no more than 2 may be female), 3 wood ducks, 2 redheads,
1 black duck, 1 pintail and 1 scaup, except during November 1-20,
when the daily bag limit for scaup is 2. The canvasbacks season is
closed this year.

That means that the daily limit is 6 ducks TOTAL. You can shoot not more than X number of each species listed.Example, you can shoot 4 mallards, 1 black duck and 1 pintail. That equals 6. Or you can shoot 3 mallards, 2 wood ducks and a teal. That equals six as well.As listed above, if the regs do not mention a particular species of duck, in this case lets say teal, widgeon or gadwall, that means you may take 6 of those birds in any given day, so long as you total duck harvest does not exceed 6. So, you could shoot 6 teal and be done. Or 2 teal, 3 wood ducks and 1 mallard. Just as long as you don't go over six, or over whatever number of each species is listed you are good to go.
