Are you ready for season ??

Looking at the calender
I have 60 days till early goose and teal seaon

I have to re mud the layout blind and touch up the flocking on a few goose decoys

But before regular duck season I have to paint or repaint48 supeer mag duck decoys
I plan on trying the UV reflectivedecoy paint from decoypaint.com

How well are you guys doing getting ready for season ??

John

Decoys are cleaned and ready. Stocked up on ammo! Bought some new cammo! All I have left to do is a little work on my goose trailer. I have to have the bearings packed and replace the handle that jacks it up and down.

I also need to work on one of my eliminator blinds. It has one of the poles inside broke. Anyone know if you can order parts for it?

BRING ON SEPTEMBER 1ST!!!!!!!

47 days for me until we start dove and early goose. I'm getting more excited every day but there's still a lot of time left. Just got my870 rigged up with a camera mount, hopefully I'll be able to get some good shot footage this year. Gotta start reloading for dove season and buy some shells for early goose.

Lucky Dog I've bent the head rest bar on my Eliminator blind and after it was bent back into place it just kept folding up. I was able to order a new one from the company. I can't remember exactly what the price was but I do remember it was very resonable.

Boat needs a new thermostat (hopefully thats all).

Got one blind that needs tagging, building and brushing (weeks worth of work... at least).

I'd like to make a few burlap decoys if I have the time and resources.

Need to buy the 08 stamps and get a HIP #.

Need to buy some ammunition and/or inventory what I have and do some triage.

Probably need a third freezer and a bigger grill. :D

just finished pouring the cement in the new pit blind, just need to put the blocks up for the walls and then finishing touches on it.. decoys have been cleaned since this spring. I was ready for this season as soon as last season ended. Still need to buy some new stuff (can never have enough decoys etc lol.)
Im kind of still in fishing mode though, going out tomorrow for some rainbow trout on the lake. Near the end of August i should be pretty antsy for september. I'll be practicing my calling like crazy pretty soon for 2 contests next month and that should be a good warm up right into opener.
