decoying canadians ?
 
any 1 have any suggestions on how to decoy better for candaian geese like whats the best spread and kind of decoys to use ??

well depends on what you are hunting early geese or late season ,we run big foots in small groups running about 5 dzn mostly feeders also get a flag too buddie .we also use a few lookers geese feel safe with less lookers and more resters and feeders good luck buddie

I always set them up with the wind and put them about 1 or 2 feet away it works for me. Also the velvet heads work pretty good. also don't put the heads on perfectly straight twist them around.

Place their faces in the wind....maybe a j-c pattern and setup somewhere in the middle of the deks...and get ready...Honkers

thats what i ment faces in the wind. but i dont use a j-c pattern i put them in a horseshoe or a big V. it works for me!

The wind should dictate where you put your decoys. There are lots of varying opinions on this and many are effective. I personally like the horseshoe, however the most important thing is watching the wind!!

personally i find a bottle of yukon jack on a stump just off the road works best for decoying canadians
