Take your pick - inexpensive shotgun

Sorry if this topic has been discussed a lot on this forum... I'm a newbie to duck hunting (but a decent wing shot). I took two pintails with a borrowed Rem 870 my first day out.. anyway if you had to choose between these three... which one

1. Chinese knockoff (anybody shooting one of these at all?)
2. Rem 870 3-1/2 mag
3. Benelli pump 3-/12 mag (sorry my company blocks gun web sites so I can't find the model #).

The Benelli has a nice feel but costs another $100 more than the Rem, of which I could put into decoys.. I'm leaning towards the Rem if I can find it in a camo version.

Thanks for any insight.

The Benelli Nova would be my choise. I have one in Max-4 for goose hunting and it's been a great gun! I have a few friends with them as well and no real complaints...

Have some buddies who shoot the Benelli Nova, Nice gun. I shoot a 870, have for 10 years, and let me tell you that thing is bullet proof!

I have 3 Benelli Nova's, 1 in camo, 2 black. Bought the camo one, got real luck at a DU dinner and won the other 2. I love the Nova, but it kicks like a mule with 3 1/2 inch. Kills what I aim at though. You will like it.

I shot a reming ton 870 with no problems. they do have camo kits for it where you can replace the forearm and pump to camo on cabelas.com at this link

its between $69-$79 depending on what kind of camo pattern you want or go to this link
http://www.remington.com/products/firearms/shotguns/model_870/
and click on the 870 choices. i actually did research. your welcome

Dad still shoots his 30+ year old 870 with a 28" mod barrel almost every day on ducks and geese

I would just buy a parkerized 870

IMO the camo is nice , but it is for sales more than hunting

I shoot a 870 3.5" express
It has never failed to work

I own and love both a Benelli Nova, and an 870. I think the 870 feels a bit more nimble, but I just love everything about my Benelli. Really you can't go wrong either way IMO.

So I bought the Nova. It comes with three choke tubes. Only the Modified and IC chokes are good for steel shot. The full choke says no steel shot.

What choke do most of you guys use on ducks/geese? I always thought that full choke was what you wanted for waterfowl?
