Mossberg 935 yea or nea
 

I am looking at buying a new shotgun to take save my shoulder. I own a 835 and absolutly love it i was wondering if anyone has a newer 935 and if they like it and if they have fixed the problems they used to have with them. Or if you had one and got rid of it why did you change. thanks for the info and help

You know.... if you are fond of that 835, you can infact shoot 3" or 2 3/4" shells out of it to lessen the recoil. Couple that with a Simms recoil pad, and it should be a real ***** cat. It doesn't take an AAA shell to kill a duck or a goose.

i realize that i can kill ducks with smaller rounds then 3 1/2s but i only use those for those big norther canada's. I usualy shoot 3 inch 4 at ducks so i am not really throwing magnums out there all the time. i also have some shoulder problemsthat on a heavy shooting day reallymakes it flare up. i would just like something that takes some recoil out and i have always wanted an auto loader anyway.

I was concidering a 935 myself freind has one and loves it . I ended up geting a sweet deal on a 11-87 supermag SP. since i had a 870 and tons of rem chokes already i went that way. 935 is a nice gun maybe a lil bit light weight wise felt recoil might be higher then hoped ..

Mine shoots great, cycles heavy shells only though and it doesnt have stainless guts so you have to keep it clean....i like it though.

I am on my third season of shooting my 935 and I love this gun. I like to shoot 3.5" shells myself. But that's just so that when I miss, I know I did everything I could! :D Last year, I was walking through the lake to my blind in the dark. I dropped my gun in the lake and when I pulled it up, it was filled with water, mud and all sorts of gunk. I cleaned it out the best I could with lake water and hunted anyways. It shot flawlessly all day long. I think I put almost two boxes of ammo through it that day. That oughtta tell you how often I miss! The gun is great though. It's super simple. I highly recommend it.

I've owned two Mossbergs, the 835 and just recently bought a 500 youth model for my daughter. Both shot well to the right, and I had to get a different sight on the 500 so that we could get it to pattern well with turkey loads. I sold the 835 after one season and went back to my old reliable 870 (which has spent as much time in the water as out!).

I have a Mossberg 500 that I think is bullet proof. Never had a problem with it.

So when mossy came out with the 935 I bought one. I took everything apart on it and cleaned it like you should when you buy a new gun. Put it back together and it worked pretty good for about a month. Then I started having problems with it. I pretty much could only shoot one shell and it would jam up. The action would get stuck halfway through the cycle. I tried EVERYTHING. Shells, my cleaning methods, you name it I tried it. I finally said screw it and got rid of it. I went back to my 500 and haven't had a problem yet.
