Adirondack Hunter Pparrish - I am at Ft. Hood, Texas, hunting the Central Flyway. Johnch I'm glad to be on the team and I'm looking forward to great second year of waterfowl hunting. I'm going to try to hunt some geese this year. I started waterfowl hunting last year on the request from a friend to hunt with him. I have now been bitten by the waterfowl hunting bug and have spent (as my wife would say) too much money on waterfowling. I say it's money well spent.;)Waterfowl hunting is addicting.:D |

Good Luck to you all. My '07 season waterfowl adventure starts on the 27th. I'll be in NW Sask. I hear there's good duck numbers this season. I hope it's the same for the geese. I can't wait to add some numbers to the team total.
May your season be filled with fine shots, few cripples and a duck blind full of good friends. |

Geese were not flying tonight
But ..........Well I added 4 more teal to my season bag I had 6 BW teal come in Picked out the far right bird and droped him Swung on the closest and as I fired a pair cut behind it Droped all 3 with my second shot So I ended up using 2 shells for my limmit of 4 teal tonight Gave my buddy a rash of $hit for needing 5 shells for his 4 teal Not a real good pic But you get the idea John  |

I'll be sitting on the waters edge at first light in the morning. This is going to be a long day today, I can't wait for it to be over and the opening of early teal to get here. Hopefully I'll get to add some numbers to the total for the team. |

For the early season , if the geese are decoying
I shoot a 2 3/4" 1 oz load of B for the first 2 shots Backed up with #4 Hevi I can't even guess how many times I have been told 1 oz of B is not a good goose load for the local gaints They are right unless the geese are less than 30 yds Enen better at 20 yds  Tonight a freind and I hunted a hay feild From 3:30 to 5 PM we had 4 or 5 flocks drop in 50 - 75 yds short of the decoys , feed a little and walk to a pond 200 yds away So we picked up the blinds and moved them 60 yds in front of the decoy , just to one side Next flock that came in did the same thing , 50 yds short But now they were right in front of us , 15- 20 yards out , 5' off the ground 4 shots later we were picking up and heading home John |

Alright guys, I got in two days of teal hunting this weekend. I limited out on both days. So we can now add another 8 ducks (4 each day) to our total. Bluewinged Teal

How do I get them on here? 2 ways to get a pic on here I have a free photo sizer After I reduce the pic to a size that PhotoBucket.com will take I upload it to there and then post it using the image button on the controlls on top of the reply controlls ( far right ) Or you can size the pic and directly upload a pic By checking the Embed picture in post , box below and then clicking on the Click here to upload! Then follow the promps Or if all else fails Email it to me and I can size it and post it for you PM me for the email address to use ( not the one the site has ) John |

Send your pics to John. Maybe he can get them posted for you. John, Adam andI both tried posting his pics.Maybe you know something we don't. Duck season starts next weekend in Michiagn. Which of coarse, I am on duty. But ducks will fall soon after! |

I added 6 more ducks and 2 geese to our totals this AM
2 Woodies 3 Drake Mallards and a ..............................................OMG a spoonie As soon as I pulled the trigger , I knew I had messes up Oh well I grind them up and make spicy snack sticks John |

Yes
But I normaly use goose Add some pork fat or fatty pork to give the brats the right texture Maybe 15 - 1 or 20 - 1 Proper spices can cover up the taste of just about any duck John |
