Any help would be great. I just purchased my first gun. I have gotten into sporting clays, and have done a little upland hunting. I am dying to try a waterfowl hunt. Are there guide services that I can go to having no experience. Thanks a lot.

The simple answer is yes. More new clients translates to more clients.

Tell your outfitter that it'll be your first time. It'll help them plan better. They may want to put you in a place, blind, whatever so that they can give you some advice on what & when to shoot.

Where are you at? Geographically speaking?

Haha... have you heard of the Chesepeake Bay??? There are plenty of good spots not to far away from you bro. Heck you ain't even all that far from the eastern shore of MD and Delaware, which is some of the best duck hunting on the east coast. Both places are loaded with outfitters who will take you for around $150 a day. Honestly, it will be a lot cheaper to just go with them and not have to buy any of the misc. stuff that goes with duck hunting. Of course you will need a few basics like a gun and non-tox shells, waders perhaps, liscenes and cold weather gear. Other than that though, you are pretty much set.

Guided hunts are great, however, some informal checking around and scouting may land you permission to hunt private property for free, if you have the gift of gab.

I agree, the Eastern Shore, and other areas are dynamite. You may want to save your sheckels and make the trip to Canada, Alberta or Saskatchewan to hunt geese in scads.

Good luck and good hunting
