I usually use my 870 express mag with Patternmaster ext. long range tube, or my dads sbe I with a Patternmaster. I found this year 3in 3#'s are duck killing machines

Probably one of the few people alive who still hunt with this particular gun. In fact there are probably very few who have ever seen one, let alone hunted with one. I use an Ithaca Model 66 Super Single. Which for those of you who are not familiar is a single shot lever action. I shoot it in 12 ga with a 30 inch fixed modified barrel. I have been shooting this gun since I was 5 years old and am now 46. It is simply a waterfowl killing machine. I remember watching my dad shoot his first double with it when I was 8 years old. He dropped two greenheads in one shot. I have since doubled on ducks and geese on a few occassions, with one shot, and have taken doubles on mallards twice getting off two shots and dropping two birds before they made their escape. I have doubled on geese with two shots on one flock on several ocassions.
