Duck boats
Do alot of people hunt ducks from boats? If you do what kind of boat is it? How big is it and the motor? Im looking at some Wareagle 17' jon boats but i dont plan on gettting one for a year or 2, i have to get the money first. Any input on the subject is welcom. Thanks, Redneck.
P.S. I am also going to fish in it during the off-season. |
RE: Duck boats
back when i didn't have a place to duck hunt i used to wait for the pounds to freeze over and head out to the lake.
Used my Bass Boat. it worked good put decoys out on a point with the trolling motor and cruized to end of the cove and parked it. Then walked out to the point and sat and shot. when i got a limmit i went back to the boat and used the trolling motor to pick up ducks and decoys. It is a almost religous experence going down the lake at 75 Mph when the temp is below 30 ware a full faced motorcycle helment |
RE: Duck boats
Just picked mine up a few weeks ago. It's 18' long and 60" wide at the bottom. I put a 60 HP 4 Stroke and it's plenty. Here's a picture of it. There's quite a bit of work left to do before the season starts, but it's a good start.

But They allow you alot of mobility

RE: Duck boats
I ordered a 18.5' welded alum. from Duck water boats with a 4 stroke 115 suz on the back.......it'll be here in a couple of weeks. Ordering the thing was like going to burger king.............they'll put whatever you want in it wherever you want it. I got tired of watching all of my buddies modifying their boats every year & didn't want to go through that.
