Outfitting in Canada

My husband and I are thinking about starting a waterfowloutfitting business in Canada, but we don't really know how to get started. Does anyone have any tips or know of any resources to help us get started?

Which province are you interested in outfitting in. Some (all?) have limits onthe number of outfitters.

Saskatchewan

Alberta

I don't want to short the reputation of other provinces on their waterfowling; AB and SK are the first 2 that came into my head.

I read an article last year about some legislation that, from either Alberta or Saskatchewan; that I think proposed two things:

1. Any non-resident of the province required the services of an outfitter for waterfowl hunting.
2. A requirement for being an outfitter is that you are a resident of the province.

Did this law ever pass?
