New Mossberg 935

Has anyone else had a Mossberg 935 and have nothing but problems with it, My dad, brother and I all bought 935's last fall and all have gotten rid of them, we all had nothing but problems, wouldnt eject 3" would jam up with 3.5" and the slide was so stiff sometimes I had to really force it too come back..Took it back to Gander Mnt and they said they wouldnt do anything about it...That was last fall and havent been back to Gander only 1 time since and I used to go thier once a week at the bareminimum, I fish 20+ bass tournaments a year and used to get most of my stuff their and now I wont buy nothing from them....Anyway just curious if anyone else has had problems with theirs....I contacted Mossberg 3 times and got no response or help of any kind...I still have the 835 and love that but the 935 is trouble..

I've only been around 1 and it functioned flawlessly and the fella even uses it to dove hunt with, of coarse he has to use 1 1/4 ounce loads. Never owned or shot 1 though.

I've shota 935for two years. I tested the Terror chokes for Jeff Hajjar with it and it never missed a beat with 3 1/2 inchers. I shoot only reloads in it. I shoot mostly fast 2 3/4 7/8 oz loads in it and it cycles perfectly however they run 1600 to 1724 fps.The function of gas operated autos depends on velocity more than pressure. It throws the empty 7/8 oz hull as far it does the 3 1/2 inchers. This is the best patterning gun I have ever owned. I also have Hastings barrels on my two 1100's and they are the second best patterning guns I have.
I have shot a lot of geese with the 935 Mod choke using the 7/8 oz of steel B's at 1724 fps. This combo gives me 90% patterns at 40 yds no holes. Steel 6's in this load is dove and teal killer.
This was a slightly used gun when I bought it. I tore it completely down and thoroughly cleaned it before shooting it. I lightly oiled it with FP-10 and reassembled it. I shoot it wet. Ned S who lives in Gritland

my experience with gas operated guns is that ejection problems normally occur due to inefficient cleaning of the gas ports.... I would definitely take it apart and check the O rings or gas ports. The gun sounds too new to have any sort of extractor problem

The malfunction of gas operated guns with locking blocks when you first get them is caused by collective tolerances causing the locking block not to lock up until you have fired several boxes of heavy loads thru them: i.e 1100's, 11-87, Mp-153, Mossy 935. I check this out after thoroughly cleaning the gun and reoiling lightly by moveing the the bolt forward slowly. If it doesn't lock up I hone on the end of barrel (tool marks) that goes into the receiveruntil it does lock up, then you do not have to break it in. I had to do this with one of my 1100's and the MP-153. Ned S
