Default Snow Goose Huntin???????????????

We have a large group of snowes using a few fields around home. We have around 600 decoys, 300 rags, silowets, 100+ shells & mis. other stuff. We have been set up in the field next to where they hve been feeding, but no luck. WHATS'UP. HELP

Can you get on the field that they're feeding. If so set your self up in the early morning. I always go for the morning hunt. You can catch them off guard, first thing in the morning especially if they come in early and like discusdad said "total concealment is a must". Geese have good eye sight. If you can't get on the field that they're feeding scout for another field. If you can get a field were they feed at night, they will be back in the morning.

Sneakin' is loads of fun. If it's allowed in your state and there is something to conceal you as you sneak (a ditch, rice levee, tall grass, something) try that. Get as close as you can (40-30 yards) and stand up and blast away.

Other than that, the other suggestions are great; forget the dekes. Snows are just too decoy shy unless the conditions are absolutely perfect. Find where they want to be and get there first.

Good luck.

Set-up in the field that they were feeding in the afternoon before the next morning no dekes needed just lay right where they had been feeding the day before. Let them cover you up then jump up and atart shooting the ones that are still landing then take the rest as they get up. Be ready with extra shells you should be able to shoot at least twice before they are gone.

We wacked 125 last year in 2 days. Of those, I think we only decoyed 8. Get in the X and whackem hard. Are you licensed to use explosives? That would take em.
