Default goose decoys

Hey goose hunters. Some of you are probably fimiliar with the new Bigfoot goose decoy now on sale. At the beginning of the season, I bought a dozen to try out because I heard a lot of good things about these full-bodies. I'm actually from Ontario, Canada and I do most of my hunting in Southern Ontario, near Jack Miner's Sanctuary. My question is that are these new flocked heads durable when it comes to freezing and cold? I known down South that's all you guys use, but I actually don't think they sell the plastic heads anymore for bigfeet. So i was just wondering how durable the flocked heads were when it comes to cold and how to maintain them for storage and transportation.

I don't have Big Foot decoys , I use GHG flocked heads and my own that I flocked

I don't get to rough cleaning the flocking if it gets dirty
First I will let any dirt dry and GENTELY brush it off
If not enough , I will spray the flocking with a hose , at 1/2 pressure

I bought some cheap socks to cover the heads during storage / transport , in 6 slot bags

SO far my flocked heads need a little touch up after 2 seasons of hunting .
The 24 GHG heads held up 1 season without any major problems ( 1 muddy head needs looking and 1 head needs touched up from a buddy dropping 2 geese on it )

I talked to several guys that recomended storing and transporting flocked head full bodies in 6 slot bags to stop them from banging around .

Need to protect my investment

Hope this helps

Thanks for the info. Ya this season, I used this final approach bag that actually fit all 12 of the deeks in the bag (but I have to take them apart- which sucks). But ya, after 1 season, I do have some minor rips or scratches on the flocked heads. Is there anything product I can buy for touch ups?

I bought a Flocking kit off Ebay
I use flat black oil Based paint ,Rustolium ( spelling )

I will use it to touch up my heads , before next season

Go to http://www.refugeforums.com/refuge/showthread.php?t=403395&highlight=Flocking
Pic's may not work
It tells you how to flock

I am usin the Avery 6 slot bags , partly because some of my Full bodies , will fit in with the feet atached
What don't may end up with motion stakes insted of feet next season

I hunt in cold weather (single digits F.), I have not noticed any effect on the flocked heads. Just keep them from rubbing on anything. The sock idea seems like a good one.
