I'm being taunted
There are two lakes in my "neighborhood." One directly in front of my house and across the street (in somebody's back yard) and another directly to the side of my house (in somebody's front yard). I could stand at my front door and throw a rock into the water at either one.
Now, that said, there has been a flock of canadian geese at each lake for about two weeks now. I don't know if it's the same flock split up or if they're just passing through and stopping but either way, they're always there just chillin. Sometimes I can even hear them hollerin inside here.
I can't shoot them on the ground in somebody's yard and I know they won't give me permission to make them fly and shoot one. The husbands would but the wife and kids are out of the question.
*sigh*

Call the wives and tell them that there it is free pizza day at the local Chuck E Cheese joint or whatever else draws kids and soccer moms. By the time they figure out that your story is bogus you can be plucking your limit of geese behind the house!

You know...BBs are made of steel. And them airguns don't make no noise.
So if you can get over the vaniety of skillet shooting one by rationalizing that it is more sporting to kill one with a single projectile going 600 fps then you are good to go.
Might have to limit yourself to a smooth bore however, depends on your regulations.
Let us not forget the old standby bow and arrow.
But we better not catch you with a bag of stale bread and a cast net!

RE: I'm being taunted
They caught a guy last fall .
He had been feeding the geese cornin the parking lot of a Metro park for weeks .
He started putting a large landing net on the ground then putting some corn on top .
Semi tame geese waddle over to be fed , he picks the net up and throws it in his van
They figure he got 12 -15 before the Metro parks cops saw him do it .
BTW I have a 1000 FPS RWS air rifle with a scope
I bought some Pellets made of zink and plastic ,NON Toxic pellets
It shoots sub 1/2" at 25 yds , around 3/4" at 40 yds
I bet I could head shoot several
Then send the dog over .
And never wake the neibors
Never even have to take off the house slippers or robe

I have somewhere a picture of myself at the park behind my house handfeeding a goose....with bands on BOTH legs.
I wonder what would happen if the dog accententally got loose and got a hold of it.....oops.
