Patternmaster choke
 

My brother has had a patternmaster choke for his last two Benelli's, but I never wanted to throw the extra money into getting one. He just sold his SBE II last week so I got his patternmaster to put in mine. All I can say is WOW! Saturday afternoon I shot 3 ducks during a brief 45min afternoon diver pass shooting hunt. The closest one was between 35-45 yards and the longest was past 60 yards. The 60+ yarder dropped stone dead, along with the others. I was shooting Winchester xpert 3" #2 steel and couldn't believe the results. Sunday morning I folded a speckle belly pushing 70 yards straight up with 3 1/2" #2 steel. I also shot a couple cripples on the water that day and you can tell the patten is significantly better (not tighter) than either the factory imp or mod chokes. If I didn't have this one, I would be ordering one for myself today!

Don't mistake me for a sky buster by me posting these long range shots, they were just what was presented to me on these days. The 60 yard shot on the duck was the 3rd shot after it buzzed by down wind and it took until the 3rd shot to catch up to him.

nice truck and thanks for the tip. i take it you use a sbe as well then? i love mine, greatest semiauto hands down imo. if i do some more duck hunting and prove to my dad that im foreal about duck hunting, he said he might get me an aftermarket choke to improve my range. ill probably pick this one after that review.

I want to purchase a Patternmaster. I just don't know which one to buy. I don't know if I should get the new "over decoy" choke or the long rang standard choke. Which one does he have on his gun????

I have his regular ported one. I had just bought the Primos Dead Zone choke 2 pack off ebay right before he gave me his Patternmaster so now I need to sell those. I heard they are good, but I figure I will just stick with the patternmaster because of the confidence I have in it.

I have had excellent results using the patternmaster choke and BB shot combination. Mostly pass shooting woodies. M2 Benelli and Winchester Drylok.

i have a 870 and i use the long range at the lake and just a standerd mod at the river. i love my pattern master. i shoot a 3" shell and knock'em down as well as my buddies with their 3 1/2" loads.
