over the limit?
Had a little situation that i ran into the other day hunting. While hunting in MD we are only allowed to kill 1 goose a day. There were 2 of us at the time and 3 geese lit beautifully right into the decoys (2 in front, 1 to the rear)both of us took 1 shot a piece picking out our goose prior to shooting. 3 of them fell, 2 dead, 1 crippled. I thought about not shooting it cause i surely didn't want to get fined but i could be cruel and let it stay there and suffer and die so i killed it. I guess i would just have to suffer the consequences if i got caught cause im sure the warden wouldnt believe us. i checked the hunting regulations but couldnt find any answer, any help would be appreciated.

RE: over the limit?
Definatley Dont worry about it. It would've been differnt if u sat there and tried shootin em all...finishing off a cripple is alot better than lettin one run off and die.

RE: over the limit?
Same deal happened to me a few times. Don't let them suffer and don't waste them. Give them away if possible. One day when frozen up we went pheasant hunting. Shot our 4 birds and was walking back to the truck and my airedale caught 2 more birds on the way back. I wasn't about to throw them in the ditch. I figured we got our limit and Duke got his also. Might have got a fine but not in my eyes. I actually cooked his birds up for him for I raise pheasants anyhow and was no big deal.

If you get caught- It is just the cost of doing business !

RE: over the limit?
I would do the same thing. I'm also from Md. Eastern Shore, & the one bird limit sucks.

RE: over the limit?
The Possession limit in MD is 2 birds so once you are out of the field you are okay. The fine for over the limit is $75 in MD.
