thats another thing my dog doesn't know the hand signals for back, right or left. any good books out there that won't cost to much to teach me how t teach the dog?

if someone won't let you get a downned duck, that is rediculous. go get it. as long as you are not hurting anything, or messing someone else up, you should be allowed to retrieve your game. especially at 10 yards, now if it was a deer that was 200 yards onto an adjoining property, i would think a phone call to the owner would do the trick.

Over here the advice is fetch the bird but leave the gun behind. Few people will have a problem with you retrieving shot game from their property.

Those that would have a problem cant do much about it as trespass is not something you can be prosecuted for over here.

Armed trespass on the other hand is a serious offence and could involve jail time and certainly the loss of your gun licesnse.
