Flagging For Ducks

I was reading somewhere that if you stick a black flag on a pole and wave it around that you can get more ducks kind of like flagging for geese. Has anybody heard this?

I have a duck flag. It is the same as a goose flag, just smaller and has white on the bottom. I plan on using it in some of the flooded fields I hunt.
