My First goose

Well, this morning on the opener off ducks, I went out with expections not being at the highest, because it was opening morning and that usually means sky-busters. Luckily, it was just me and my dad. Early on blew some easy shots on ducks, like the ones where you throw your gun up and are almost thinking, "Should I try for a double [8D]". Anywyas, after sitting for an hour or so, we decided to jump ducks. Where the ducks were are in a marsh, and a rock point seperates it from the lake.Usually we keep the canoe on the lake till we decide to jump. Sowe're just about to walkover the point and I hear "Honk, Honk" of geese. My dad drops (poor guy, forgot to buyhis duck stamp, so he paddled me around all morning :D) and a flock of about 10 fly over and are about 25 yards away and about 10 feet up. I center the bead on one and BOOM! I see the bird fold and drop just like on the TV shows :DMy dad says he hears a shot, and out of the corner of his eye sees the goose drop. He's staying down because he doesn't wanna blow it for me, and he finally looks up and sees a look of amazment on my face :)I'd been trying to get a goose for so long (over 4 years), and it finally fell into place. If I would been on my game, a double definetly could of happened, cause they just kept coming even after I shot. Here's some pictures of the hunt

Sorry for the long post, still super pumped :D

Great job man, it's great when everything falls into place like that and you take advantage of it.

Of course he doesn't, but he blames me [&:]"If you didn't get your duck stamp the day they came in, and got it like the friday before season opens maybe I would of remembered" [8D]He'll most likely get it this friday because he's taking the day off.Oh......I've been addicted for a long time now, I'm just addicted to stronger stuff now ;)
