Hi everyone. Sorry I havent been on yet. Just been working like crazy. Got another couple weeks before early duck season, which I will only get to hunt 1 of the 5 days, but I should get a lot more hunting done in the main duck season. I'm starting to get excited!

Well today is our opening day of duck and goose season .
I got 1 Gaint Canadian goose
2 Wood ducks and 2 mallards

2 Wood ducks , 3 drake mallards

Tonight was fun .
Got to the marsh at 4:15
Snowing or rain , it changed back and forth 4 or 5 times
Walked in about 200 yds to a spot on the creek
Set up my 6 decoys and a wind powered spinning wing decoy
Before I got back to the bank the first ducks were in the decoys
Got to the bank , picked up the shotgun and droped 3 green heads , with 3 shots .

Sent the dog after them
Walked over to the brush blind I have and started to count decoys .
1,2,3,.....9 WTF there are 3 ducks in the decoys
Figured out I had 3 more Mallards in the decoys
Shot my final mallard Green head
The dog finished fetching the mallards and I had a Pintail come in .
Sent the dog for it and shot my 6'th duck as he swam thru the decoys .
A nice drake Woodie
Picked up the decoys and walked back to the truck .
Total time 1 hr and 5 min

Great to be where the ducks want to land

Life is good
5 ducks , 4 mallard drakes and a Pintail

I spent a little longer tonight and it was RAINING !!

But I had a flock of geese come close enough to take 2

Had to quit due to it was so dark I could not ID the ducks
I quit at 6:00 pm even though quiting time was 6:39 PM

Last 2 days it has been great hunting as long as you stayed off Lake Erie
There were 4-8+' waves

So we hunted the cut corn
Sat I got 1 goose and 4 mallards
Sun I got 2 geese , 4 mallards , 1 black and a Gadwall

Just hope the weather stays cool but not to cold
