War Eagle Boats

I'm thinking of getting a 16' war eagle for duck season and then for fishing during the off season. I'm wondering if anyony has any experience with war eagles and what you think of them. Some of the hunting will be in open bays where I want a litle more boat under me than a flat botom jon style. I am alos thinking of putting either a pro-drive 32 hp or mud buddy 35 hp motor on it. What do you think?

If you are thinking about mudmotors, I would look at excell or southern duck boats cause i beleive they will build it how you want it. Just think about when you spend most of your time huntin or fishin. Wareagles from what i have heard are good boats but a little weak on the transom for mud motors. Do not have any personal experience on them so dont take my word for it do a lot of research on it, and not by the dealers of any company.

Also check of go-devils they have been in the business for over 25 years and make a great short drive motor

these guys obviously don't know what they are talking about... wareagle duck boats are the sweetest boat money can buy, and unfortunatley that's exactly the case... they are a little on the spendy side... also, wareagle will build a boat any way you want it and they will set it up for a mud motor if you choose, but if you want to fish out of it i would think twice about a mud motor..it will take up all of your room in your boat and a 16' boat really isn't that big.. it's tough to get a boat to duck hunt and fish... you almost really need two boats or else it won't be a good duck boat or a good fishing boat. and if you're going to buy a wareagle it would be a shame to not have it be great at something!! maybe buy a cheap jon boat and a cheap lund style boat... it would cost about the same a a 16' wareagle.. they are not cheap.

good luck
