Default Can you hunt geese with a bow?

Curious if you can hunt geese with a bow where you live. The Double Bull boys shoot them out of their blinds on their videos...I thought you had to use a shotgun around here but I can't find any regs..Anybody know?

Hardcore, I think you're dealing with federal laws here. I just tried a search and checked a couple of different states and they all read about the same.I'm pretty sure you can use your bow. (Just make sure you use nontoxic broadheads - no lead. And no shots straight over your blind. Yeah, I'm joking around now.) Good luck! Jim

Could you use a crossbow? Could you use a crossbow if you were handicapped?

I think most regulations state that you can not use a single projectile, which would make a bow illegal.

We can do it in Maryland. Federal regulations say it's ok to hunt waterfowl with a bow but not crossbows. I'll try to post a link.

Some times I really wonder why in the age of smokeless high energy gun powder, improved shot, wades, etc. anyone would even want to put themselves at such a disadvantage to pull a stunt like this.

Many people try some many things that just don't make sense. It doesn't mean that I'm going to try to emulate them.

Sounds like something you'd heard from an antihunter. "In this modern age why would anyone want to do that?"
